Fix Ubuntu Multitouch Touchpad


Terkadang ketika kita menggunakan sebuah notebook/netbook dengan OS Ubuntu, fitur multitouch seperti twofingers-scrolling mennjadi tidak aktif, padahal notebook tersebut sebenarnya mendukung fitur multitouch. Dalam kesempatan ini, akan dijelaskan bagaimana cara untuk mengaktifkan fitur multitouch tersebut.
1. Install “Pointing Devices” dari ubuntu software center

2. Buka System / Preferences / Pointing Devices dan disable Vertical and Horizontal Scrolling.

3. Buka terminal (ctrl + alt + t) dan copy code dibawah ini:

synclient HorizTwoFingerScroll=1
synclient VertTwoFingerScroll=1
synclient EmulateTwoFingerMinZ=40
synclient EmulateTwoFingerMinW=8

4.Buka terminal (ctrl + alt + t) dan copy code dibawah ini:

gconf-editor

5. Navigate dan cari  /desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/scroll_method

6. Ubah nilainya menjadi ’2′

7.Buka terminal (ctrl + alt + t) dan copy code dibawah ini:

cat /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf

8. Copy the Identifier name, in my case, it was “Touchpad catchall”

Identifier "touchpad catchall"

9. Execute this command, as a Super User.

Code:
sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-twofingerscroll.conf

10. Write this, making sure to put your Identifier.
